Artists face an ever-changing environment in the entertainment industry. The traditional business models have shifted dramatically. Digital media have created enormous new opportunity, providing artists and writers more tools and more channels through which they can distribute and exert greater control over their work and its profits. At the same time, computerized communication has created substantially more risk, making creative endeavors more vulnerable to piracy.  Online distribution of artistic or political content, because it knows no borders, can leave the artist or writer more open to attack by those who may take issue with the artist’s message or the form that message takes.

Drawing from our background in media and the arts, we will work with you on structuring your contracts as well as licensing and distributing your work. We can go after others who have illegally used your work or your likeness for their own gain. And we can defend your right to free expression against those who would try to censor or punish you because they disagree with your views or the way you express yourself artistically.

At The Gormly Law Firm, we understand the importance of defending artistic rights.

It is one of our passions. And it is one more way that we are a different kind of law firm.
